You don’t just have to play Sudoku as a puzzle board game anymore. Many different variations of Sudoku are now available online. Numerous casino operators now offer Sudoku as a slot game on their websites. So you can play one of your favourite games for a chance to win some money. Sounds good, right? Gaming options have gotten much more exciting than a board puzzle. The numbers in this game can be daunting to strong maths haters. But let’s get one thing straight, there’s no mathematics in this game. No calculations are involved (in the classic version or online). All that online Sudoku requires is for you to spin the reels. Many different casino operators have taken different approaches with their own version of this popular game. Using shapes, animals, colours or any other symbols instead of numbers. You can use whichever design you wish. The numbers 1-9 are most commonly used because they’re easy to recognise so are seen as the most suitable symbol system.

Online casino operators use the name ‘Sudoku’ to attract the attention of a similar audience that is familiar with the classic version. However, the name is a little misleading as there are many differences in online Sudoku. For a start, you won’t have to fill any numbers in (which is the main goal of classic Sodoku). The gameplay is very different. The online version of Sudoku is much simpler. It’s an easy and straightforward game in which you should simply spin the reels. And cross your fingers that you’ll find 3 or the same numbers! You’ll probably only play a few rounds, but the sudoku theme will not disappoint regardless of the differences. There are now many variations of sudoku. So it’s likely that you’ll come across many different designs and layouts online.

What are the main elements that make online Sudoku different to the original Sudoku?

What makes online casino Sudoku different go the original board game? Needless to say, you can win money in this version of Sudoku. Game designers created an online version of this game for casino websites. This game is inspired by the traditional Japanese version of Sudoku but with a gambling twist. It follows the general idea and theme, however, you do need to make sure that each box equals nine. This is irrelevant in online Sudoku. The game follows the same design as the average online slot machine game. Most online Sudoku games will have three reels and three rows. The aim of the game will be to match three or more numbers. This game is usually played with numbers to keep in the theme with the original creation of Sudoku. However, as previously mentioned, recent releases of Sudoku have been known to use symbols too. So spin those reels and get ready to win some big cash prizes!

Oh, and one key element that makes online sudoku stand out from the original is the incredible jackpot that you can win. If you see all the numbers for 1-9 on your screen, be prepared to win an outstanding prize. It will feel way much more rewarding then wining at the board game!

Where can I find online casino Sudoku games?

Many casino websites will offer online Sudoku. Simple type ‘Sudoku online’ in your search bar and your screen will be filled with options. However, understandably you will want to find a reputable and trusted website. If you want a list of trusted software providers you can visit casinosjungle.com. Also, don’t worry, most versions of online Sudoku will let you play in demo mode. So you can play for free before betting your real money. It’s no secret that the online casino industry is booming right now. So it comes as no surprise that the number of players playing online Sudoku continues to rise.

So you’ve hit a roadblock and don’t how to solve the rest of the puzzle? Perhaps you want to erase and start over, or do you just want to close the app or throw away the paper? Hold on a second. You have to agree, Sudoku is one of the best games out there, in terms of challenge and engagement. Whether you are trying to improve your focus or winding down a long day, it’s the best bet.

However, regardless of your competence level, it does not hurt to have a few tricks up your sleeve. Not only does it make it more interesting, but it does help you play to win, and who doesn’t want that? Here are a few tips to help you complete that troublesome puzzle and get to the next level.

1. Start It Right

How you begin, your Sudoku has a significant impact on how everything ends. Naturally, Sudoku puzzles are partially filled depending on the difficulty level you are playing, so it can be a little hard to make the first move. Therefore, you will want to apply the elimination technique. With the numbers provided, choose and mark the ones you’d prefer to use.
The goal is to strategically eliminate all possible moves by broadening your view to every row and column.

2. Try Crosshatching

This trick is the slight reverse of the elimination method. Thus, maintain your focus on one 3×3 square and fill out all the required figures.
This trick is especially useful for beginner or amateur players because it reduces the pressure of filling out an entire grid.
Nevertheless, there are a lot of loopholes to this technique. There is a substantial possibility of going back to fill in squares to correct errors. This is not a terrible technique, but it does require lots of keenness.

3. Go Naked

This does not mean you strip off your clothes, not at all. With the naked pair technique, you decide the only possible numbers for a particular cell.
As such, you already have 2 probabilities, so you get to decide which one goes where.
However, these figures don’t have to necessarily align within a grid, and they can be spread out in the square.
For pros, this technique can be applied to more figures making naked triplets or quads.

4. The Hidden Pairs

If you’re looking for a clearer perspective on where to place your numbers, then this is the way to go. Here, you get rid of clustered numbers from two cells. Therefore, you are left with simple possibilities. This strategy is great if you want to learn advanced techniques.
Look at the pre-filled numbers and also the rows, squares, and columns to eliminate them as options.
The true value of the hidden pairs is masked by numerous possibilities. With practice, this technique can be used with triplets or quads.

5. Intersection Removal

This strategy is excellent for players who want to eliminate possibilities to solve the entire grid. Thus, any number that appears twice or thrice as a possibility is removed from any intersecting unit.

The key is to entirely figure out the unit in the puzzle. It may be easy to concentrate on a single square, but the goal is to fill out the entire grid. Any pair of triplets of numbers that intersect with a square, a column, or a row is eliminated as a probability.

Sudoku is a fun way to stimulate the mind. It is much more than guess-and-check. It involves numerous strategies to determine the placement of numbers in the puzzle. Looking for triples and quads is one way to solve difficult areas on the grid.

Beyond the Obvious

Often times, players begin by scanning for obvious choices first. There is usually one or two spots on the grid that have only one possibility for a missing number. When you notice a row, column, or square that has more than half the numbers already visible, the empty spaces may not have more than one number that could fit. Once these are complete, it may be time to start filling in all the possible numbers. Look at one cell and then go through the numbers in its column and write the possibilities small and lightly inside. Repeat with the row and then the square. Once you have recorded all available numbers, it is time to start analyzing those options.

Triples

As you know, numbers can only occur once along a row, column, and square. For the ease of clarity, though, let’s just look at rows for now while we try to understand triples. Once you understand this strategy, you would obviously repeat it for columns and squares. If you look across a row and notice that there are three numbers that are options in exactly three cells along that row, then those are the only numbers that can go in those cells. They have nowhere else along that row to go. They must occupy those cells.

Naked Triples

A naked triple occurs when the three possible numbers are the only numbers that you find along the row. For example, if you wrote that the numbers 1, 2, or 3 could go in three squares along that row but found no other numbers for any of those three, that is a naked triple. These are easiest to spot. Now is when you will have to start looking at the numbers from surrounding columns and squares in order to determine which cell can hold each of the three numbers. This may mean moving on to solve a different portion of the puzzle first before being able to determine which part of the triplet can be placed in which cell.

Hidden Triples

Hidden triples are a little trickier to spot, but work in the same way. Three numbers along a row will only be possible in three of the empty cells, but other numbers will also be written there from when you listed all possible answers. This simply creates an extra step. Again, if you notice that 1, 2, and 3 are only possible in three locations, you can cross out any other possible number that you had initially written and continue from there as described above.

Quads

Quads are exactly the same as triples. Instead of three possible numbers for exactly three cells there are four possible numbers for exactly four cells. Just like triples, quads can be naked or hidden. The same process ensues, but it may take a bit longer since there an extra number at play.

Being able to spot triples and quads should help you in your quest to solve Sudoku puzzles. They help in the process of elimination. Best of luck!

What are Sudoku Puzzles?

Sudoku puzzles are a fun and challenging past time for the enthusiast of brain puzzles. The game involves squares with nine squares inside each square. The squares are boxed together where there is numbers from 1 to 9 in a row as well. Each puzzle only has a few numbers already in place to help you solve the puzzle by filling in the missing numbers. There are many methods to help you solve a sudoku puzzle. The following are the two methods of solving a sudoku puzzle using pairs and singles to solve it.

Using the Pairs Method To Solve a Sudoku Puzzle

One of the methods to solving a Sudoku puzzle is to use the open pairs method. This method involves looking for existing pairs in the puzzle so you know where you can add in another number into the puzzle. This is one of the best things to do first when looking for where numbers can go. Even if you can’t add in another number right away by using this method, you can take note of where you can put a number using this method until you have solved more of the puzzle.

How to Use the Singles Method to Solve a Sudoku Puzzle

The singles method is another way to solve a Sudoku puzzle. This method is a bit more of guesswork compared to the pairs method, but it involves taking educated guesses. This method involves looking at the rows of numbers in the sudoku puzzle and trying to fill the row up with numbers 1 to 9. This can be easy in some instances if enough of the puzzle is filled in. Or it may be a bit challenging and you’ll have to do quite a bit of guesswork on it until you progress farther into the puzzle.

These methods of solving a sudoku puzzle will help you to become a pro at working on these fun brain puzzles. The pairs method is a bit more effective to quickly solve a puzzle and the singles method is good for helping to slowly patch in numbers until you are farther along in the puzzle to fill in more of it. Remember, there are other methods and some methods work better than others for some people. Just choose the method that works best for you to solve the puzzle in an effective way.

How Does Sudoku Work?

Sudoku is made up of columns, rows, and squares. It is in the form of a grid and has 9×9 spaces in the columns and 3×3 spaces on the rows. The player is supposed to fill the spaces using numbers from 1to 9 only on the squares found in each row and column.

However, there is one crucial thing you need to know about this game. When playing, do not use a number more than once in every row and column. In other words, you should not repeat a number in a section.

More About Sudoku

Sudoku games have several levels, and they range from simple, moderate, to complex. What this means is that the game has various difficulty levels. Sudoku exists in puzzles, and a player can begin playing from anywhere as there is no procedure for playing the game. As a player, all you need is to use your visual analysis to help you push through with the game to the end. Oh, you also need a pen or a pencil if you’re playing with a Sudoku book.

Also, since everything in a Sudoku game is interconnected, you need to be keen to mess up everything. You must listen and visualize the possible solution in each column and row to avoid starting the game from the beginning again. The best way to ensure that you don’t mess up the game is to prevent guesswork at all costs. Instead, use your critical thinking skills to come up with the solution to the puzzle.

The Basic Sudoku Rules A Player Should Know

Though the Sudoku game has been embraced in many parts of the world, we still have millions of people who are still struggling to understand the game rules. If you are part of this group, below are typical Sudoku rules you need to know:

● Use numbers 1 to 9 only when playing
● Ensure that you don’t use one number more than once in each grid, column, and row
● Avoid guesswork at all costs when trying to find a solution to the puzzle
● Make use of the elimination process as your tactic to help you arrive at a possible solution

If you follow the above rules to the letter, you should be able to solve any Sudoku puzzle you come across. However, as stated earlier, some puzzles are tricky, and only an expert can find it easy to solve. Nonetheless, this does not change the rules of the game. The rules for solving the puzzle remain the same regardless of the technicality of the Sudoku puzzle.

Conclusion

Sudoku is an engaging, thought-provoking game. However, if you have just started and you are on your journey to mastering the game, you may find yourself making mistakes. But do not worry about the trial and errors you make in your first attempt. It is common among beginners. As you continue practicing, your mind will get used to the patterns. With time, you will internalize the concept, and the game will be far easier for you. Good luck with your Sudoku progress!

What Is Sudoku?

“It’s never just a game when you’re winning” (George Carlin). Sudoku is a fun game often seen by people playing it on their way to work, in a classroom setting or in their rooms to pass the time. Sudoku is a number logic puzzle where a single player sorts out the numbers, 1 – 9, within each row or column. It is so that no number repeats in the same grid.

Sudoku, Su-ji wa dokushin ni kagiru, originated from Switzerland and was invented by an American architect named Howard Garns. After a couple of years falling 1979, Sudoku’s popularity worldwide skyrocketed from its’ popularity in Japan.

Variants of Sudoku

Kakuro

Kakuro or Cross Sums puzzle is similar to Sudoku because players explore the avenues of combinations and permutations. However, the difference is that Kakuro relies on mathematics to solve the puzzle.

When observing a standard Kakuro puzzle, it is composed of a blank grid with some clues in certain boxes. The goal that each player has (just like in Sudoku) is to utilize number 1-9 so that each horizontal block’s sum is equivalent to the clue on its’ left. Furthermore, no repeated numbers are allowed in each box.

Futoshiki

Futoshiki, Unequal, is a logic puzzle in which inequality symbols are utilized to figure out answers to the clues shown. A player’s goal is to fill up each square with a range of numbers that depends on the size of the grid.

To solve a Futoshiki puzzle, looking towards the inequality signs can help unravel the puzzle. An inequality sign can suggest whether a number in a square would be greater or less than the opposite number.

Killer Sudoku

All the regular rules of Sudoku apply to Killer Sudoku, however there are additional rules set in place. It is essentially a combination between Sudoku and Kakuro. In a board, there are highlighted portions that indicate ‘cages’ as well as the standard columns, rows and 3×3 regions.

Because each cage has a sum, a contender has to figure out what numbers add up to the sum of each cage in a grid. In addition, not a single number can repeat in each column, row and 3×3 region.

Some useful tips when attempting to play Killer Sudoku would be to focus on cages within the first box. Then target cages that have a the smallest sum.

The Fun Begins

If you are a fan of puzzles, there is a multitude of options to choose from. You can start off with the standard Sudoku puzzle. Then in the near future, move on to more complicated versions such as Kakuro, Killer Sudoku and Futoshiki. Most importantly, remember to have fun. There’s always a solution to every puzzle!

Sudoku puzzles can be a very engaging way to exercise your brain. Although the puzzles are self-explanatory, they can also become very intricate. So it is no surprise that many players have become stuck as they try to conquer their game.

So what we all really want to know is how to get better at solving Sudoku puzzles. Thankfully for you, we have listed a few tips to help improve your ability.

Be Aware of the Absolute Numbers

An absolute number are those that you know will be involved with boxes. You can begin with 1 and make your way around your grid to fill them all in after each 3×3 space remains. These spaces will then be where you place the 1s. When you go through this with all of the numbers, you will see that you will not have many empty spaces left.

Set a Time Limit

When a games involves time, it important that you set a time limit as you play. This is good to do as you try to solve a Suduko puzzle. Have a timer set for at least 2-3 minutes to spend on each grid. As you work with a timer you will be able to decrease the amount of time required and becoming faster with solving them. You will also stay motivated to solve more puzzles.

Concentrate on a Single Section

If you do not concentrate on a single section of your Sudoku grid, then you will run the chance of having an overwhelming experience.

In order to prevent yourself from feeling swamped and being unable to solve your Sudoku successfully, you need to focus on one grid at a time. This is an important step and can make all the difference. Taking a few minutes on each column and then solving the next one will help you to maintain your concentration. Concentrating will also remove any possible interruptions. When you finish a puzzle, you will notice the amount of brain power you have left to tackle your next Sudoku puzzle.

Ensure That You Have Enough Practice

A great thing to do that can give you an advantage involves having a technique to practice. This practice can involve any technique that you want to utilize. When you practice a technique make sure you do for a few minutes. This time will get your brain wrapped around the technique, but not exhausted by playing for a long time. Once you get the hang of a technique, you will see how easy Sudoku really is.

Maintain a Fast Pace

Many players of Sudoku actually take too much time as they analyze their card. Sure, you may become “puzzled” at times; however overanalyzing may lead to hesitation. If you become hesitant, then you may be unable to make any real headway.

Patience is a Virtue

Solving a Sudoku puzzle is not going to happen fast. In fact, solving them can even take hours to complete. This will be true when you get to the difficult puzzles. However, just because they have become more difficult does not mean you need to lose your patience. You only need to be patient because when the difficulty level increases, it only means that your brain will be working overtime to solve them.

Some of the squares are blank, and other squares contain a pattern. To play the game, you have to fill in the grid so that all the columns and rows, as well as each 3×3 grid, containing the numbers 1-9.

These puzzles are simple and accessible, which is why Sudoku is so fun. Even though the game is very popular, many people don’t completely understand the origin and history of Sudoku. Let’s take a look at why the game became so popular.

Sudoku’s Early Origins

Sudoku was likely started by Leonhard Euler, a mathematician from Switzerland, in 1783. Euler originally called the game “Latin Squares”, and the activity was considered a project at the time. Sudoku wasn’t seen as recreational until years later.

Another early variant of Sudoku was discovered in France near the end of the 19th century. Several magazine publishers in the country started experimenting with the concept of taking numbers from “Magic Squares.” Some of the puzzles were based on math and not logic, which meant the games weren’t true Sudokus. However, this was a precursor for what we now know as Sudoku.

Who Invented Sudoku?

We aren’t completely sure who game up with the game, but it’s believed that retired architect Howard Garns is the inventor of Sudoku. Garns passed away before the game became famous around the world. He made puzzles in his spare time during the debut of “Number Place” but he wasn’t credited for the first puzzles in this game series. However, there is adequate evidence to suggest that Garns was working on the concept of Sudoku at that time.

Sudoku’s Popularity Today

Puzzle magazines like Dell had been popular in Japan for quite some time. During the 1980s, Sudoku became well-known in Japan. The name of the game is a shortened version of the phrase “Suji was dokushin ni kagiru,” which means, “the digits are limited to one occurrence.” The apopel of the game is not just how enjoyable it is, but the fascinating nature of the Japanese language. Games like crossword puzzles don’t always translate accurately in Japanese, so puzzles based on numbers are more accessible and popular.

Sudoku would become popular in the Western world around 2004. A judge in New Zealand “rediscovered” the game in a Japanese bookstore in 1997. The Conway Daily Sun in New Hampshire and the Times of London start producing Sudoku games in their weekly papers. Today, the game is well-known around the world, and there are even Sudoku championships avid players can participate in.
